Who we are
This website and the client/advisor portal are operated by Channel Mark Advisors LLC (“Channel Mark,” “we,” “us”), a strategic advisory firm based in Jupiter, Florida, United States. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to scott.ponder@channelmarkadvisors.com.
What this policy covers
It covers channelmarkadvisors.com — the public website and the password-protected client/advisor portal. It does not cover third-party sites we link to (for example, LinkedIn or our clients’ websites), which have their own policies.
What we collect
We collect very little, and only what the site actually needs:
- Email correspondence. The public site has no contact forms. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and we use it to respond.
- Portal accounts. Portal accounts are provisioned by us for clients and advisors — there is no self-serve signup. For each account we hold a name, an email address, encrypted login credentials, and sign-in/session records.
- Technical logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — used for security and operations.
We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies, we do not buy data about you, and we do not sell or rent anyone’s information — full stop.
Cookies
The public site sets no cookies. The portal sets only the strictly-necessary cookies required to keep you signed in. Because there is nothing optional to consent to, there is no cookie banner.
How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and correspond with you;
- To operate the portal and deliver engagement work to clients and advisors;
- To secure the site and investigate misuse; and
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations, if they arise.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the site on our behalf: website hosting (Vercel), portal authentication infrastructure (Supabase), and business email (Google Workspace). Each processes information solely to provide its service to us. Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it or to protect our rights, and in connection with a business transfer if one ever occurs.
Retention
Correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the relationship it belongs to. Portal accounts and their records are kept while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then removed. Server logs rotate on our hosting provider’s standard schedule.
Security
Traffic to the site and portal is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Portal credentials are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form — we never see or store plaintext passwords. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect what we hold.
Your choices
Email us at scott.ponder@channelmarkadvisors.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion. Portal users can also ask us to close their account at any time. We will respond to reasonable requests promptly.
Children
This site is a professional service directed at businesses. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for example, if we ever add analytics or a contact form — we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
